My interest in the past began as a child when visiting historic houses and castles in England and Wales. I began buying antiques about 30 years ago and then one day I had the opportunity to handle some ancient pottery. I've never looked back.
My great passion is the Roman world and in particular Roman Britain, an area in which I have developed considerable expertise. I studied archaeology at university and this led to an interest in small finds, particularly ceramics, glass and utilitarian domestic items.
I am foremost a collector, curator and historian, not a dealer. I love to share my interest and knowledge with others. I enjoy giving talks on various aspects of Roman life in Britain to adults and children. I have been a regular participant at historical events, where I get the opportunity to share my knowledge and allow the public to view and handle ancient objects.
All the items I sell are from my family collection, purchased from dealers or at auction and usually from old collections established during the height of antiquity collecting in the Victorian and Edwardian periods. From time to time I sell items on eBay. You can find me by clicking HERE.
I continue to collect antiques, particularly chinese and japanese art, along with vintage and mid-century collectables. Both have a gallery on the website.
If you have any questions about purchasing, please don't hesitate to contact me by using one of the many links throughout the website.
I hope you find something you like.
Best wishes
