60. Roman Steelyard Weight

1st to 5th Centuries A.D.

A Roman lead steelyard weight with iron ring. This is a good example in remarkable condition.

These weights had a variety of uses which included weighing out measures of corn and other foodstuffs and were used with a steelyard scale.
